This week's topic was Baby Sign Language. Here are a few tips:
1. Keep it simple- start with an easy sign- our favorite is "more" (bring fingertips together like you are clapping)
2. Be consistent- practice the sign for your baby and say "more" every time you are feeding the baby
3. Don't start too early- you can start as early as 6 months, but it might take your baby 6 months to "get it"- if you wait until the baby is 9-10 months old to introduce the sign, they will probably learn it faster!
4. Be patient- it can take a long time until your baby makes the sign back to you
5. Have fun- remember to enjoy every moment!

Sylvia started signing all done last week and she even said, "ah- da!", she also signs for more, but not every time. She gets the concept, though, as evidenced by her smile and extatic arm-waving!
